Federal Monitors Arrive in Detroit to Safeguard Votes During Detroit’s General Election

The Detroit Branch NAACP held a press conference on Monday, November 4, 2013 regarding the announcement by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) Civil Rights Division that they will be sending monitors to Detroit for the General Election.  Rev. Dr. Wendell Anthony made a request to United States Attorney General Eric Holder and the DOJ for Federal Monitors to be sent to Detroit to ensure Detroiters of a safe and protected election.
