Come To Tee Golf Outing & Benefit

The Come to Tee Golf Outing and Benefit raises funds for the Detroit Branch NAACP and Detroit NAACP Youth Council Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological, Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) programs and for the Detroit NAACP Youth Council.  ACT-SO is a year-long enrichment program designed to recruit, stimulate, improve and encourage high academic and cultural achievement among African-American high school students. The ACT-SO Program centers around the dedication and commitment of community volunteers and business leaders to serve as mentors and coaches and to promote academic and artistic excellence among African-American students. There are 32 categories of competition in the STEM, Humanities, Business, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Culinary Arts. The Detroit Branch NAACP would like to extend an invitation to you or your organization to become a sponsor and/or participate in this worthy cause.

In 2019 the Detroit Branch NAACP and Detroit NAACP Youth Council ACT-SO Programs had 11 students competing in 14 categories during the National NAACP ACT-SO Competition held in Detroit.  William Hill,III, 15, Sophomore, Detroit School of Arts, won a Gold  Medal in Music Instrumental Contemporary and Crystal Tigney, Senior, Cass Technical High School won a Silver in Dramatics. Your support of Come to Tee helps us facilitate an award winning local ACT-SO Program.
