Detroit Branch NAACP Young Adult Committee is Ready to Make A Change

April 19, 2012, the Detroit Branch NAACP Young Adult Committee met to set its path for the upcoming year and beyond. Members of the committee are extremely concerned about out impact in the lives of young people as we provide mentorship for young children and strategic programming to attract young adults to the Association.

As we lay out our calendar of events for the year we highly encourage others to become involved. Thus far the committee has adopted that our objectives will address the need for economic and educational reform, while focusing on mentorship to our youth council and addressing health issues in our community. We encourage members to work in areas they are passionate about and provide a support system to help them make a difference.

The Young Adult Committee meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday at 6:00pm at the Detroit Branch NAACP office (8220 Second Ave. Detroit, MI 48202.)
