ART & ESSAY ENTRIES ARE DUE

The Art & Essay contest gives students in elementary, middle and high school the opportunity to explain, “What the Civil Rights Struggle Means to Me.” Students may submit either an art entry, essay entry or both. The contest is done in partnership with Coca-Cola and Detroit Public Schools. Students are competing for an opportunity to win cash prizes, and for their winning entries to be displayed during the Detroit Branch NAACP’s 59th Annual Fight For Freedom Fund Dinner. The deadline for the contest is Friday, March 21, 2014.
Did you miss the Detroit Branch NAACP ACT-SO Competition? If so, don’t worry. The Detroit NAACP Youth Council is hosting an ACT-SO Competition as well. The application deadline for the Detroit NAACP Youth Council ACT-SO Competition is Saturday, March 29, 2014.
