The Detroit NAACP Youth Council has been at the forefront of youth leadership since its inception in the 1900’s. Home to the largest youth unit in the Midwest, the award-winning Detroit NAACP Youth Council continuously provides strategic planning, and implements the solutions gathered to address the problems facing the youth of our community. Currently the Detroit Youth Council is working on a strategic plan to amend gun laws that will protect our youth on the streets.
This highly motivated group of middle and high school students meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 6:00PM at the Detroit Branch NAACP office (8220 Second Ave. Detroit, MI 48202). It is never to early to get involved!
