The Detroit Branch NAACP held its Kick-Off and Passing of the Gavel ceremony to officially launch the 60th Annual Fight For Freedom Fund Dinner on
Thursday, February 12, 2015. The 2014 Chairs passed the gavel to the incoming 2015 Chairs. Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan also purchased the first ceremonial ticket. Additionally, the theme for the 60th Annual Fight For Freedom Fund Dinner was unveiled. This year’s theme is:
